Donate Money

Your support will provide low-income seniors, families with children, and adults across Minneapolis with healthy and culturally relevant food, emergency financial and material assistance, and referrals to additional resources and services.

But, most importantly, your gift will create a sense of hope in place of hopelessness for our neighbors who are experiencing a time of crisis or transition.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA) Charitable Distribution

Through your IRA charitable distribution to CES, you can simultaneously realize tax advantages and make a life-changing impact for your neighbors experiencing hunger in all its forms (physical, relational, and spiritual).

If you meet certain guidelines, you may use your IRA to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to CES.  QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) for the year, as long as certain rules are met.

Planned Estate Gift

Plan your legacy and make a lasting impact by providing healthy meals, warm smiles, and hope for your neighbors in need….for many years to come.

Your planned estate gift is a very meaningful way to give hope and make a lasting impact on your neighbors who are experiencing hunger in all its forms (physical, relational, and spiritual).

Talk to your legal or financial advisor about including CES in your plans.  You can name us as a charitable beneficiary of your:

  • Retirement plan (e.g., 401k, IRA)
  • Annuity
  • Will or trust
  • Life insurance policy
  • And numerous other ways to make a planned estate gift

CES is happy to work with you and your financial advisor to accommodate your needs.

We would also welcome the opportunity to have a discussion with you about your vision for how your planned estate gift can be best leveraged to make a difference for the neighbors reached by CES.  Through conversation, we can match your passions and desire to leave a legacy with the needs of CES and the neighbors we reach.

We would love to hear from you if you have questions, would like to discuss your plans, or already have CES in your estate plan.  Contact us at:

Employer Matching Gift

Multiply the impact of your donation with a matching gift from your employer.

Many employers will provide a donation to match their employees’ charitable giving or volunteer time.

Check-in with your employer to inquire if they have a formal matching donation program or an informal matching donation policy.  Your human resources or payroll department should be able to provide information on if a program exists at your company and how to submit your donation or volunteer hours to access matching funds.
