In 2021, you equipped CES to provide food and hope to 108,392 low-income neighbors who were experiencing hunger.
Last year, 74% of people reached by CES self-identified as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color, Many of the CES clients are new immigrants to our community.
Your generosity is meeting each person where they are and serving their unique needs.
Distributed 523,458 healthy meals to our low-income neighbors experiencing hunger.
Provided 2,866 individuals with one-time financial and material aid — totaling $33,644 to help navigate a time of crisis or transition without falling into deeper need.
Delivered 75,574 prepared healthy meals to 470 seniors who are low-income, socially isolated, and homebound.
Provided free monthly deliveries of healthy and culturally familiar groceries to the homes of 450 seniors — supplying 131,045 meals.
Engaged 3,857 volunteers in 9,893 hours of service (equivalent to five additional full-time employees)
17 volunteers made 250 phone calls to homebound and socially isolated senior clients.
Served 99 homebound seniors and disabled clients and their 191 pets. We provided 13,724 pounds of pet food and litter to maintain healthy companion pets for our homebound neighbors, assuring both the senior and the pet had nutritious food.
